EdgewaYs is the new offering from singer-songwriter Helen Woodbridge, aka EllYTree, and is an album brimming with sharp observational lyricism and memorable melodies.
The 14 new tracks are diverse and highlight Helen’s imaginative storytelling skills with songs ranging from love, as on the poignant and reflective ’Tamarisk’ to Greek mythology, as on the haunting ‘Minotaur’. There are thought provoking songs on global warming, like ’The Day it Rains Forever’, quirky songs like ‘Simmerdim’ replete with birdsong, and the fun-laden ‘Company’. The diverse and superb collection of songs hang together beautifully and make for a very strong album and the most enjoyable listening experience.

Helen is joined on the album by guest musicians Faradena Affifi (strings and backing vocals, Merlyn Bruce (percussion) and David Wright (percussion, drums, keys and voice).
